Not a match

Better not

  • 10 mm / 3⁄8″ glass – too thick for a safe hold
  • Anticalc, EasyClean or similar coatings – they may reduce the hold
  • A hydrophobic product applied in the last 6 months

The golden rule: always keep the glass between the two magnetic parts. Without it, they snap together with real force – and don’t put your fingers between them while installing.

Install

Up in a few moments

No tools needed. Just clean glass and a steady hand.

Tip: slide the counterpart in gently – you’ll feel the magnets find each other.

  1. CleanWipe the glass and magnetic surfaces, then let them dry.
  2. PlaceHold the shelf on one side of the glass.
  3. MatchBring the magnetic counterpart to the opposite side.
  4. SlideCarefully slide it until the magnets align and lock.
  5. CheckMake sure the shelf sits firmly and securely.

Moving? Redecorating? Easy.

No tools and no marks left on your shower glass.

Keep both hands on it. Support both parts the whole time so neither one can fall.

  1. HoldGrip both parts firmly, one on each side of the glass.
  2. SupportKeep holding both, so neither can drop.
  3. LeverApply a firm levering motion to one part.
  4. ReleaseAs the gap grows, the force drops quickly.
  5. Lift offCarefully take both parts off the glass.

Magnets got a little too attached?

It happens. They can be separated safely, without damaging the product.

Please no sharp tools – they can damage the protective rubber coating.

  1. HoldGrip both magnetic parts firmly.
  2. Slide, don’t pullMove them sideways in opposite directions.
  3. Feel it easeOut of alignment, the force gets weaker.
  4. ApartKeep sliding carefully until they separate.

Install

Small hook, strong hold

A reliable spot for your towel or robe in a few moments.

Careful: strong magnets can be hard to separate and may pinch – keep the glass between them.

  1. CleanWipe the glass with a regular glass cleaner.
  2. DryMake sure glass and magnetic surfaces are clean and dry.
  3. PlaceHold the hook on one side of the glass.
  4. MatchCarefully bring the counterpart to the other side.
  5. CheckMake sure the hook is firm and stable.

Off again, no trace

No tools and no permanent changes to your shower.

Never let go of one side. The magnetic connection is the only thing holding both parts in place.

How much can be_myshelf hold?

be_myshelf 300 holds up to 1.5 kg / 3.3 lb, be_myshelf 400 up to 2 kg / 4.4 lb and be_myshelf 500 up to 2.5 kg / 5.5 lb.

My glass is new – is that a problem?

Some new glass is treated with a hydrophobic coating straight from the factory. If your glass has no such treatment and no product like Anticalc or EasyClean has been applied in the last 6 months, the shelf will hold firmly.

How do I clean it?

Simply wipe it with a damp cloth.
